Welding Processes

Precision welding is not a particular welding process, but rather a set of welding technologies that opperate at a micro level to deliver quality welds . Precision welding is used in cercumstances where otherwise are difficult to get from the conventional methods of welding. Most of the advanced forms of welding processes fall in the category of precision welding.

Micro Welding, refers to technologies and equipment designed specially for performing, as it suggests, micro welding  on tiny, thin, and delicate parts by using tightly controlled heat energy.

Laser welding,  is one of the major techniques used in the metalworking industries, as the concentrated energy of laser results in a better quality of weld. laser welding can also be used for some secondary purposes  such as cutting, drilling, sealing, and scribing,  making the technique itself, multifunctional in nature.

Resistance welding involves the generation of heat by passing current through the resistance caused by the contact of the metal surfaces. Pools of molten metal are formed at the weld area as high current  is passed through the metal. In general, resistance welding methods are efficient and cause little pollution, but their applications are somewhat limited and the equipment cost can be high... more on resistance welding

Seam Welding is a resistance welding process that produces a weld at the faying surfaces of overlapped parts along a length of a joint. The weld may be made by overlapping weld nuggets, a continuous weld nugget or by forging the joint as it is heated to the welding temperature by resistance to the flow of welding current.

Ultrasonic welding is an industrial technique where high-frequency ultrasonic  vibrations are used to weld objects together, generally plastics,  This type of welding is used to construct parts and components  that are too small, complex, or too delicate for the more common welding techniques. In ultrasonic welding, no other conecting methods or adhesives necessary to bind the materials together.

Hermetic welding is a welding process that does not produce a weld but produces a seal. The main point of hermetic welding is to provide a total leak-proof joint, which can't be provided through any other conventional welding process.

Projection welding is a versatile process for joining wire, sheet, machined & formed parts in steel, such as  wire mesh, attachment of brackets, etc in sheet metal assembly, and welded nuts and bolts

Orbital welding equipment has the ability to make high quality, consistent welds repeatedly at speed
An orbital welding system will drastically outperform manual welders, many times paying for the cost of the orbital equipment in a single job.

Underwater welding,  is a unique form of welding and has got multiple applications, which are rare to be worked upon by other conventional methods of welding. Underwater welding is widely used in offshore structures such as oil drilling rigs, pipelines, and platforms...
